Yorkview Kids Care adheres to both the Early Years Act and Toronto Children’s Services Assessment for Quality Improvement. Our staff follow ELECT framework (Early Learning for Every Child Today). We have a subsidy agreement with the City of Toronto. Yorkview Kids Care has been approved for the CWELCC program. Children under the age of 6 will receive a discounted fee.
Each week, a varied program is prepared based on the teachers’ observations of the children, their interests, needs and skills. Activities include the developmental areas of social, emotional, communication (language & literacy), cognition and physical domains. The childcare offers a play-based, flexible and child-centred curriculum that supports engagement and meaningful exploration. We encourage community and family involvement that enhances and is essential to our program.
On a daily basis you can find our staff engaging the children in: art, sensory, music, science/math, language, dramatic play, singing, story time, building, gym activities and outdoor play.
