Ruth Barber – Director
Ruth graduated with her Early Childhood Education diploma with honours from Seneca College in Toronto and is registered with College of ECE. With over 25 experience, Ruth continues to lead a child care that not only provides support for children’s learning experience but also fosters a place where staff and parents work together to create a positive and caring atmosphere.
Yorkview Kids Care employees are trained staff and Registered Early Childhood Educators who follow the Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) framework and the How Does Learning Happen document. All staff have their standard first aid training (with child CPR) and have obtained Vulnerable Sector Checks. Our team of teachers at Yorkview Kids Care respond to the children in a positive and supportive manner. They encourage independent growth, self-regulation and provide many opportunities to learn through play base and experimental activities. This supports children’s physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.
